The lionfish (Pterois volitans) is a recurring subject in Claudia's artwork. It is a venomous coral reef fish and absolutely stunning with its long flowing fins and red and white striped bodies. Each one has different markings and they have an inquisitive personality. There’s always something in the water watching me, watching you.
This artwork is mysterious and captivating. The water is murky and I glimpse a movement in the shadows of the reef below. As I descent deeper, the light from my torch reveals a dark cave. What will I find in this enchanting place?
